You can close your Biosportive account from inside the app, without asking anyone. The app is currently in Turkish, so menu names are given in Turkish with a translation.
Closing your account in the app
- In the Biosportive app, open the Profil (Profile) tab.
- Go to Veri ve gizlilik (Data and privacy).
- If you like, first take a copy of your data with Verilerimi dışa aktar (Export my data).
- Tap Hesabımı kapat (Close my account) and choose Devam (Continue) in the warning.
- To confirm, type SİL in the box and tap Sil (Delete).
This happens immediately and cannot be undone. You will no longer be able to sign in.
Conditioning staff and dietitian accounts
Staff accounts are opened by the club or by Biosportive and have no close button in the app. Send an e-mail with the subject "Close my account" from the address registered to your account to info@furkandogan.com; once we have verified your identity we close the account.
If you cannot open the app
Send an e-mail with the subject "Close my account" from the address registered to your account to info@furkandogan.com. Once we have verified your identity we close the account in the same way.
What is deleted
- Your full name
- Your e-mail address and phone
- Your city and notes
- Your profile photo and shirt number
- Your date of birth (only the year is kept)
Your club's conditioning staff and your dietitian can no longer see you; you cannot sign in and receive no notifications.
What is kept without your identity
Under the explicit consent you gave when you started using the app, the following records continue to be kept indefinitely, without your identity, for scientific research:
- your training videos and the measurements calculated from them,
- your Apple Health data and the pulse measurements you made with the camera,
- your morning and evening check-ins and workout logs,
- your height, weight, sex and year of birth.
Because your face is visible in videos, these records are not fully anonymous. Free text such as check-in notes, video notes and dietitian messages stays as it is and may contain names. Research results are shared only in aggregate and without identity; no image that identifies you is shared.
Apple Health
Closing your account does not touch the Apple Health data on your iPhone. To remove Biosportive's Apple Health access, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, choose Biosportive under Apps and turn the permissions off. You can then delete the app from your phone.
